Brief Answer:
Can be due to Poor nutrition.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking Health care magic forum.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to poor nutrition. Iron deficiency anemia , hypothyroidism or low vitamin D also can cause it. You can run Hb level , thyroid profile and vitamin D level tests to rule out this. Taking supplements will be helpful for such conditions also.

But if you have this in the crown and frontal area then it is most likely androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss). In such case applying minoxidil lotion will be helpful.

You can also take vitamin supplements for hair growth like biotin , B complex, folic acid and vitamin D.

If dandruff is there use some medicated shampoos. Over the counter shampoos like head and shoulders or selsun blue is good also.

Include foods like eggs, oily fish, meat, nuts like almond cashew groundnut and milk in your diet. Eat at least 1 fruit per day. Also include various pulses in your diet. Green leafy vegetables like spinach is also good.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Most likely seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for your follow up query.

Your problem can be most likely seborrhoeic dermatitis. In such case using of medicated shampoos will be helpful. You can use ketoconazole shampoos like nizoral or Selsun shampoo which is available in market. It is better to use these shampoos at least twice weekly.

If there is no improvement with these then using coal tar shampoo twice weekly will be beneficial.
A consultation with a dermatologist is well appreciated if there is no improvement with over the counter shampoos.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Rogaine (minoxidil) can be used.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome.

Thank you for your follow up query. Finasteride has so many side effects. Some even get loss of libido.

Minoxidil (Rogaine) doesn't have such side effects and you can use it. But it should be used for at least 4 months continuously to get benefit. It should be used for long term also. Lotion of this is usually used 1ml per each time application once or twice daily.

Let me know if anything not clear. I am happy to help you.
If you are clear then please rate my advise.
Thanks.
