What Causes Vertigo, Pressure Behind The Right Eye And Spinning Sensation?

default
Posted on Fri, 24 Jun 2016
Question: I have been having symptoms of vertigo which have increased dramatically in the past few weeks since I have seen my doctor about it. I was referred to a neurologist but unfortunately the neurologist they referred me to is no longer seeing new patients and my doctors office has not returned any of my phone calls to get a new neurologist. I am now having extreme pressure behind my right eye all the time, as well as the feeling of the frontal lobe of my brain feeling as if something is pushing it towards the front of my head, I also can not look down twoards the ground with out the feeling of the floor spining, and now when i feel the pressure increase behind my right eye I am experiencing high fevers between 101.8 to 103.4. I do have out breaks of shingle due to stress at least every other week from small spots on the back of both my thighs, my middle lower spine, upper left and right side of my back ribs and more recently my right side of my face that started behind my right ear and spread near my eye and to the tip of my nose. My doctor told me that the shingles virus may have entered in to the blood stream in my brain and is why he wants me to see a neurologist, but the symptoms I listed above have been increasing at a fast rate and affecting my every day life. I do my best to deal with them and try not to drive unless I have to. I do run my own business where I go to clients homes to groom their animals and drive my kids to school and my son to his baseball games. I just want to know if there is a condition that you heard of with all the symptoms I mentioned above. The vertigo symptoms started about 5 years ago while I was driving down a straight road and the road started to swerve all over the place. I pulled over and waited for it to pass, during the past 5 years the symptoms have gotten to the point where I will be standing either cooking, cleaning, or talking to someone and then out of no where i have to grab on to something because the entire room or surrounding go completely side ways and making me feel like i am going to fall if I don't hold on for dear life from any where form 20 seconds to 4 minutes. I am really worried now that the symptoms are increasing with the continuances pressure behind my right eye and the fact that I can not look straight down to the ground and now the fevers are increasing when the pressure behind my right eye intensifies to about a 6 or 7 on the pain scale. I am also waking up about 6 or more times a night due to the pressure behind my right eye. I am getting really scared cause it actually feels like my head is going to explode and my family does not believe me of my symptoms cause when I do get to sleep it's in the mornings after I ger my kids to school or I am grooming a dog. I just feel like my energy is drained and I can only sleep for a few hours at a time if I am lucky. I would like to know if this could be from all my out breaks of shingles on my lower spine sending the viruses up my body through the liquids in my spine to my brain or is there something more serious that could be going on. Any information that you could give me would be appreciated since my own doctor will not respond to me and I feel they are putting my requests off and not answering me as quickly as they should because I am on medicaid. I honestly am not sure how much longer I can deal with these symptoms before I have some kind of break down. As I said any information you can give me I would appreciate and if you need anymore information about me and my health or family history please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for taking your time to read this even if you can not answer.
