What Causes Tremors In Legs While Suffering From Degenerative Joint In Hip?

Posted on Mon, 22 Dec 2014
Question: I have been diagnosed with degenerative joint in right hip and scheduled for replacement. First diagnosis was 3 years ago. I scheduled surgery this year mainly because of intermittent weakness and discomfort in lower leg along outside of shin, sometimes weakness is in front medial of knee, and sometimes posterior gluteal weakness. It varies to when and where. Another strange phenomenon that has started this year is in early morning I stretch my leg out during sleep my leg shakes as it stretches. I can't replicated this while awake. Is there something more then a bad joint?

Brief Answer:
After effects of bad joint.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

It all seems to be after effects of bad joint. Intermittent weakness is due to atrophy of muscles. Doing physiotherapy exercises prior to replacement would be helpful in early rehabilitation.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Take care
