Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
First, I think you should test with a X ray PNS Waters view, CBC and throat swab culture.
Because it is very important to know which organism is causing the symptoms.
This is essential because Azithral is an antibiotic.
If you test this after the Azithral, the test will be falsely negative and will further complicate your treatment.
So, before starting Azithral, give the samples.
Then you can try the Azithral and Ibugesic.
I guess you are taking Ibugesic for throat pain.
It may have limited action.
I would suggest the following
1. Betadine gargles 4 times a day.
2. Steam Inhalation 4 times a day.
3. Paracetamol sos for fever.
4. A multivitamin course- once daily.
5. Plenty of fluids.
6. Ideally I would wait for the test results. But you may start and continue Azithral for 5 days if you like. Further antibiotics course would depend on the reports.
7. Brush your teeth after every meal.
I have tried to make it as simple as simple as possible.
Feel free to ask a question on any point you would like to clarify.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
