Brief Answer:
Did you have a heart attack?

Detailed Answer:
HI,

Is this tiredness like you are unable to do any hard work or that you just feel very tired? Not being able to do hard work would not be totally unexpectd if you suffered a heart attack. If that is not exactly what you are concerned about let me know. Also, have you measured your TSH levels? What about the last blood hemoglobin levels? These are other possible causes of you always feeling tired. Let me hear from you so that we can discuss more and probably provide more insights if need be.

I wish you well and feel free to follow up with me us need be.

No heart attack to my knowledge. Could the Plavix be causing the constant feeling of weakness? What is "TSH"?

Brief Answer:
TSH=Thyroid stimulating hormone!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Plavix is not known to cause body weakness. I will suggest that we evaluate the thyroid by measuring the blood TSH levels. This should be completed by electrolytes measurement. The findings would help orient us as to what to look for and what plan to establish. Please, kindly communicate the results with us.

I wish you well and look forward hearing from you.

My own online research via Mayo Clinic indicates a full panorama of Plavix side effects including muscle pain, weakness and fatique, Might a change be warranted?

Brief Answer:
Though possible, they are rare!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have also reviewed the mayo clinic pages. Yes, these are possible side effects but occur in a very limited proportion of patients on this drug. This is the reason why I will not always state it as the first cause but only settle if there are no other outlets.

In your case. the timeline and absence of any other findings to make me look elsewhere raise a possible side effect of this drug. I will suggest that we consider switching to drug to another blood thinner such as warfarin. I have no idea if you have ever tried that before or not.

I wish you well and keep me posted on your progress.
