Brief Answer:
Drug modification will be helpful.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

Your symptoms possibly represent hypotension secondary to passage of stool.

This low blood pressure is prompting cold sweating secondary to sympathetic system activation.

It is pretty important to reschedule vyoyr drugs.

Morphiine is largely unnecessary in your case. If it's unavoidable then least possible of Morphine has to be used that is 10 mg

Movicol is a big No no for your age as a laxative.Instead I recommend Isphagula husk one spoon in water at bedtime for 14 days to combat constipation.

Reducing the dose of MST would alone correct your condition by 70%.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can make these drug changes to you.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you

We have tried cutting down on the MST to no avail, without it I can only just make it to the bathroom, and I am in agony even sitting in my wheelchair! With that level of pain relief a can at least walk for 200meters. I can stay upright for 20 minutes. I had hoped for another disc decompression (l have had two so far) but the neurologist I saw suggested a pain clinic would be my best option, that was in September I am still waiting for the referral.! So what I need to know is will this spatula husk interfere with my Crohn's?

Brief Answer:
Isphagula husk doesn't interfere with Crohns

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

Isphagula husk(Psyllium) has no ill effects on the disease course of Crohns.

In fact it's very much advisable in patients with inflammatory bowel disease for its stool softening and gut cleansing properties.

At least try for possible dose reduction of MST.

Consult another expert NEUROSURGEON who may offer you a positive advice on disc decompression.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
