Brief Answer:
no need to have rest of tablets

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

No there is no need to take the rest if four misoprostol tablets.
Just wait for periods and in case she misses them then do a urine pregnancy test and see for results.
In case negative then wait for the periods and in case positive then visit a gynecologist at the earliest.
Taking the four misoprostol tablets can cause erratic bleeding pattern and thus detection of pregnancy a little difficult.

Hope for the best.

hello madam!!!
the patient has all the symptoms of pregnancy, puffing of the face, two days passed from the periods date, weight gain, over eating and nausea. the patient is anxious and is insisting on taking misoprostal orally, so does she has to take all 4 tablets at once or two tablets once and rest of the two after 24 hours,
also please help me that shall i get her to do a strip test first and after confirmation go for misoprostal??? or she can take it immediately based on the above symptoms.

Brief Answer:
do urine pregnancy test first

Detailed Answer:
Yes sir, first do a urine pregnancy test and see for results.
In case found to be positive then take tablet misoprostol 2 tablets at once and rest 2 after 48 hours.
She will experience cramps and pain abdomen and vaginal bleeding following which there will be expulsion of a small organized mass and after expulsion there will be relief from pain and bleeding will decrease.
Bleeding can persist in small amounts for about 3-5 days and then she will be fine.
Hope for the best.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
no benefit

Detailed Answer:
Yes Mr XXXX, she can take the remaining tablets if shw wants to, but with no benefit as the test is negative so misoprostol will not have any effect on the non pregnant uterus.
Rather it will cause abdominal pain and excessive nausea and at times fever too.
In my opinion there is no need to take the tablets.
Take care.
