What Causes Swollen Lymph Node On Both Sides Of Groin And Anxiety?

default
Posted on Mon, 21 Mar 2016
Question: Hello I am a 30-year-old male I have a small swollen lymph node on both sides of my groin. They are both painless and feel slightly movable one of them is softer than the other and a little bit bigger. They are both located near where my leg and groin attach. I don't know how long they have been there I would imagine for quite some time. When I was about 17 years old I had a small lump in the right side of my groin biopsied and was told it was a swollen lymph node but normal and nothing to worry about. Just as a background I have also had a swollen lymph node in my throat for over 12 years I had it checked out and proper test run and it was also nothing to worry about. I am inclined to worry and be a hypochondriac sometimes so I am now in a way obsessing when I don't think I need to be. Like I said I am not sure how long the lumps have been there but I feel like they have been there for quite a while. I try my best not to look for lumps and bumps's simply because of the way my mind is having health anxiety. I feel like my medical history points at this being nothing butbi want to ask a doctor to get some insight. Thanka for your time.

Brief Answer:
you need to check for any assiciated signs of weight loss and any other sss

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Its sad to hear that these lumps are creating apnoc in your life for quite sometime. From your history it seems like you have many previous benign swolle lymph nodes in your body. I would suggest you to check your armpits, side of your neck and and in groin and look for any other such swelling in your body. Plus look for associated sign and symptoms like low grade fever, weight loss or decreased appetite. If all that is clear that there are less chances of anything troublesome. After that just get the biopsy done. And histopatholgy report would rule out any slight risk of cancer or infection. Just stay calm and get your work up done by surgeon and afterwards consult histopathologist. I hope it will help. Thankyou
