Brief Answer:
Could be due to infective foci on that side

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Sir,

I assume you are referring to submandibular lymph node which you are referring.
Submandibular lymph node is situated just below the jaw line.
The lymph node is sometimes confused with submandibular salivary gland. The lymph node on one side are enlarged due to infective foci on the same side.

Do you have any oral infective lesion like dental carries or tooth infection? presence of such infection could cause enlargement of lymph node usually on the same side.
Also inflammation of Submandibular Salivary gland can cause swelling on one side.

Exact diagnosis will depend on clinical examination.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take Care
