What Causes Swelling In Gums And Abrasion On Roof Of Palate?

Question: Hello doctor,

I have got a gum swelling or abrasion ( i dont know exactly what it is ) on the roof of my palate and it us quite painful while swallowing food . I tried to apply mucopain. and also tried with s alt water gargle but not of much help .
Pls advise what to do .

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

it could be mouth ulcer due to gum inflammation or due to vitamin deficiency.

If you will not get relief with Mouth pain gel then I suggest you apply Zytee gel 3-4 times a day especially 10 minutes before food. It will take 3-4 days to heal.

And I also suggest Multivitamin medications once a day after lunch.

Maintain oral hygiene. Continue salt water gargles.
Avoid eating spicy food.
