Brief Answer:
Ligament strain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the query on this platform.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.

The present ankle swelling seems to be due to blunt trauma to the ankle or a ligament strain around the ankle.

If ibuprofen has not helped you, then taking meloxicam won't help much.Take proteolytic enzyme tablets like serratiopeptidase, trypsin, chymotrypsin etc. This will help resolve the swelling early.

Keep the leg elevated over a pillow.

Applying compression bandage and ice packs around the affected area will help.

If these measures do not help, then you should consult a doctor and get an Xray done.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.

Thank you.
Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
need a prescription from doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

These are prescription drugs and will not be available over the counter.

You need to get a prescription of the same from your family physician/orthopedist.

Thank you.
