Question: I have a stuffy nose, no fever, dry cough, sometimes piercing pain in my right tonsil, green mucus from my lungs and nose. I've had this for a few days. My ears also keep popping. The back of throat is really red. My glands are swollen.

Brief Answer:
mostly due to sinusitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having popping ears with throat pain.

As per your clinical details, it appears to be due to acute sinusitis.

Sinusitis, can cause Eustachian tube dysfunction (popping ears), can trickle down into throat (pharyngo-tonsillitis), can descends down into lungs (cough).

I suggest the following measures to overcome your sinusitis.

1. steam inhalation twice daily to clear sinus secretions.
2. Anti allergic medications like tab.citrizine 10mg one at bed time.
3. tab.paracetamol 500mg twice daily to get relief from head-ache secondary to sinus congestion.
4. Cap. amoxicillin 500mg thrice daily (needs medical prescription).
5. Do valsalva exercises (watch you tube video), chew chewing gum for ear blockage.

In case of persistence of symptoms, you need to see your primary physician or ent surgeon to rule out other causes.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
