What Causes Strong Urine Odor While Having Urinary Tract Infection?
Question: I continue to hav urinary track infections, I take antiobotics as instructed by my urologist, two or three days later the smelly urine comes back. in addition i should mention that I started using a colostomy bag. could you make any suggestions on what I can do to cure this problem. or should I be looking somewhere else for a solution?.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you are getting re[peated episodes of UTI resonding to antibiotic for ashort while and to come back again .
This is most likely to be due to fact that the organisms may not be sensitive to antibiotic that you have been taking .
I would suggest you to get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
In the mean while start taking broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
