What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Fever And Neck Pain?

default
Posted on Thu, 15 Oct 2015
Question: I am having symptoms as follows: fever, painful neck pain where I have trouble moving and rotating my neck, I have had numerous days of shortness of breath, pains keeps appearing at various areas of the body including my balls of my feet where I can not walk, trouble bending over and picking up anything, very fatigued. The doctor ruled out meningitis. She gave me meloxicam (usually used for arthritis that I do not think I have????) She didn't know what was going on. I am concerned it might be Lupus or something serious. I am female of 50 and always have been in good health. Any ideas? Thank you, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Yes Lupus is a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that there is a possibilty of lupus or fibromyalgia . But I would suggest getting ANA , ENA profile done . Also CPK , Vitamin D, TSH levels need to be done to rule out metabolic cause .

Another possibilty is Fibromyalgia , I think you need to read about these and figure out if we are on right track . Any questions you have please ask.

Take care.
