iF YOU ARE OVER WITH YOUR MENSES RECENTLY AND THERE HAS BEEN itching along with pain and you have been sexually active recently then probability is that you have developed vaginal candidiasis with vaginitis which is causing the pain and the itch. This has to be evaluated first and confirmed by a per speculum exam and a high vaginal swab for culture and then a course of antifungals and antibiotics can be taken to alleviate the symptoms.
Vaginitis is very common in young sexually active women and cause such acute sharp pains often, so a local exam is mandatory. Please visit your physician .
