Brief Answer:
A step by step approach to diagnosis needs to be taken

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. There can be a number of causes behind your severe weight loss and diminished appetite and some of the causes could be serious. You need a thorough evaluation for the underlying cause to be determined. I would insist you not to ignore it and self medication would not be a good idea. Hyperthyroidism is a possible cause. Infective causes like tuberculosis and non-infective causes like cancers also need to be excluded. Treatment would depend upon the underlying cause and I would insist you to visit a doctor for the same.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
