What Causes Severe Left Sided Jaw Pain While Swallowing?

Question: Hi Doctor,
I am getting more salvia and pain while swallowing on the left side below jaw.This is happening from last two weeks.

Might be suffering from Submandibular gland inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

Looking at your symptoms,you might be suffering from Left sided Submandibular salivary gland inflammation.
The cause might be infection or stone obstructing the passage of salivary flow from salivary gland.

It would be advisable to have Ultrasound examination of neck and consult an ENT specialist for the diagnosis and treatment.

You may find relief by taking Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antacid like Rantac,Vitamin C lozenges.
Oral Antibiotic like Augmentin may be required according to the severity.
Drink lots of fluids.
Warm compress over the left side of neck region below jaw .
