Question: Hello,

I feel pain on my whole body (arms, legs, back, shoulder, hip area, spinal cord) everywhere. It feels so bad that sometimes I cannot feel my nerves if I touch them as if they are not there. Sometimes I feel that nerves are being pulled from inside, and had to wake up in the middle of the night due to this pain. So I visited ER room, they gave me saline through IV and prescribed me PREDNISONE. I was told to take 2 pills for 4 days but was having lot of side effects like weakness, body pain, dizziness and was having the urge to have that once I stopped taking it. So I visited RHEUMATOLOGIST for the body pain but they were not able to tell where the issue is. So I visited NEUROLOGIST, there they ordered some tests and prescribed me a medicine called GABAPENTIN. This medicine did help me to sleep properly but the pain is still there. I really need an expert opinion on what is going on with me, can you please advise.

I have also pain in my right hip and feels like something is stuck in there. Are they related? I had this pain on my right leg so I did colonoscopy and 2 benign polyps were being removed by the Gastroentologist.

What could be the reason Dr. for this nerve pain all of a sudden, as I am having this from last 4-5 weeks now. Is it really bothering as I feel very weak and cant do any activity as I get exhausted, feels like drained out of energy.

Is there any side effects from GABAPENTIN in the long run? I have started taking this medicine as it is 4 days now, but I forgot last night.
