Brief Answer:
KOH mount of the sputum can be done to rule out fungal infection.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thanks a lot for your follow up.

It doesn't appear to be fungal infection in throat or chest area. In all the fungal infection of the chest or throat area there is either a productive cough with lot of sputum or atelast a white curd like deposition in mouth or throat area. There is high to moderate grade of fever in the chest infection due to fungus. I can get history of only cough in your query.

Even then to rule out the same one can just examine the mouth and thoriat area. Other than that KOH mount of the sputum can be done to rule out chest infection due to fungus.

In your kind of cases I generally give Levocetrizine with montelukast tablet for two times daily. An improvement is seen after taking this tablet in case of allergic cause of cough. Do yoga and meditation with breathing exercises to improve the breathing.

I hope this information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
The symptoms you enumerated are mainly related to allergic tendency.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thanks a lot for your further follow up and details. I am basically based at XXXXXXX

It is good thing that you are under treatment. Complete the course of antibiotic that you are taking.

The symptoms you enumerated are mainly related to allergic tendency. In place of Allegra it is better to take Levocetrizine with montelukast tablet (such as Xyzal M or Levosiz M) for two times daily. If you find relief then the most probable cause is due to allergic phenomenon.

I hope this information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
Yoga and meditation with breathing exercises helps a lot in early recovery.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Welcome back and thanks for your follow up. I am really happy to know that you got good relief from cough. It shows the allergic cause of the cough as I deduced earlier.

In my patients I generally give two tablets for a month period especially during change of weather condition. Once good control is seen then I reduce it to once at night time for next month and then alternate days.

As I suggested earlier, Yoga and meditation with breathing exercises helps a lot in early recovery. The tablet suggested is one of the safest tablet and can be taken for longer period of time under medical guidance.

I hope this information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
Increased broncho-vascular markings feature can be presents in normally.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Welcome back and thanks for your follow up. The X-ray is more or less quite normal except for the part of changes at broncho-vascular markings. These are actually the entry points of both lungs which can be inflamed due to variety of reasons. In case of the allergic tendency is quite high then also these can be inflamed. Majority of your lung components are normal and the increased broncho-vascular markings feature can be presents in normal individuals too.

I hope this information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.
