What Causes Right-sided Lump On Nose?
Question: Dear Dr.
one of my niece was born with a kind of lump on her right side of nose( just below eyebrow level). Now she is 2.5 years. we had operated it some 1.5 years back at Medicare hospital (Dr. Lahoti) , XXXXXXX Madhya Pradesh.
The earlier lump was a approx. size of a small golf ball.. Post first operation the lump was removed. . However there is mark of operation and post surgery dry skin are still visible. The Dr who had operated said that the lump has been removed , the mark will go away eventually. He has also suggested to check once again after 1 year.
we are looking for suggestion whether there is need of second operation . if so could you prescribe any Dr. based out of XXXXXXX we are looking for complete removal mark. Whether plastic surgery is advice able. photo showing mark area is attached

There is a single scar on the upper part of the nose. This scar is not appearing very deep and hence chances of self-healing are there.
The child is too young to undergo plastic surgery. Scar removal surgery should be done when the child has attained complete growth. if done early there can be complications.
It's better to try topical medication at present.
Various anti-scar creams are available in the market. A few of these are hexilak s, contratubex, opexa etc. you can use any of these. It has to be used twice daily. These creams are safe and effective.
