What Causes Right-sided Abdominal Pain In An Antral Gastritis Patient?

default
Posted on Mon, 13 Jun 2016
Question: I suffer from antral gastritis diagnosed at endoscopic biopsy. I take 40 MG nexium daily. I eat a light wholesome diet and follow Canada's health rules. I am now having serious digestive issues following the same diet. By digestive issues I mean pain within 20 minutes to 2 hours post ingestion of food. I am extremely worried. My pain is on the right side. Would an MRI be beneficial to me at present. Thank you. I am a 69 y.o. female nonsmoker, light social drinker.

Hi,

I would suggest a repeat endoscopy and an ultrasound scan of the abdomen before deciding whether MRI is needed.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
