Question: I am 44 years old and have completely lost the ability to climax, even with a vibrator. It's always been next to impossible for me to climax without INTENSE clitoral stimulation (usually a vibrator), and I have never had an orgasm during vaginal intercourse (not physically, although it seems that I have emotionally...I can't explain that one). But now, I can't even orgasm with a vibrator. I had a baby at 41, and it was a terrible pregnancy and I suffered heart failure at 35 weeks and the baby was delivered via emergency C-section. I was in a coma for four days, and have been on the following medications ever since: carvedilol 12.5mg/twice daily, lisinopril 20mg daily, spironolactone 25mg daily; I also take Lexapro 50mg daily and Seroquel 100mg daily, for anxiety/depression/insomnia. It is important to note, I have been on some kind of SSRI for twenty years, and while the rate and intensity of vibrator induced orgasm was reduced on those medications, I was at least able to have some kind of satisfactory orgasm at one time. I have experienced numbness in the pelvic saddle region that a neurologist said could be attributed to the pregnancy, but that if it hadn't returned to normal after 2 years it probably would not. Also, I had a salpingectomy in July of this year due to a huge cyst, and I also have the Mirena IUD. I bought a "magic wand" and a small, very intense vibrator, and neither of those worked, and the magic wand just made me numb after a few minutes from the intensity of the vibration. So who do I need to see?
