Brief Answer:
Allergic or initial irritation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
II'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad and will be answering your query today.
She might be allergic to the vigamox drops.
Sometimes these drops cause irritation initially and subsequently subside.

I suggest that you contact her prescribing doctor and inform him if this persists more than a day or even after the second dose.
Make sure you are applying the drops as prescribed.

You could also try this- 5 minutes after applying the drops use a cool wet sterile cotton or clean soft washcloth and wipe her eye gently outward (from nasal end to the outer end).
This will clean any remaining medicine after it has been absorbed in to the eye, which may dry up and cause irritation

Hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with..

Hope she feels better soon.
Wish you good health

Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad
