Brief Answer:
It is Erysepales.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pics.

It is Erysepales, infection of skin and subcutaneous tissue. It is most commonly caused by gram positive bacteria.

In my opinion, you should take Antibiotic like Clindamycin capsule along with anti inflammatory tablet immediately. Simple antibiotic like Doxycycline will not be helpful.
Right now, I am treating a women with Erysepales in my hospital. She is under treatment since 10 days. She has come to me after the infection has spread to the thighs. She developed blebs also. Now, she is responding well to the treatment.
As the infection is mild in your case, you can take the medicines orally. If there is no response to Clindamycin capsule, then you should take Linezolid tablet. Sometimes, another broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefuroxime tablet has to be added.
Give rest to the affected limb.
Keep it elevated.

Nothing to worry. It will come down.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Where does the bacteria come from, I have been coughing since early April and had pneumonia but haven't stopped coughing. Are they related? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
It could be due to trivial trauma to the lower limb.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
In my experience, most of these infections are caused due to trivial trauma or injury or bite to the lower limb.Even a simple Needle prick or Thorn prick can initiate this infection.
Rarely, infection spreads from one organ to lower limb.
Wish you good health and speedy recovery.
