Brief Answer:
Recurrent skin infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

It seems that you have recurrent skin infection (commonly caused by staphylococcus aureus), since you have reported that it subsides with antibiotic.

Since almost all your family members are also having itching, the more possibly the primary cause is scabies, which you might have contracted from XXXXXXX masseur and it has spread from you to others. Both yourself and all family members have to take anti-scabitic treatment like ivermectin orally single standard dose and you have to take a course of antibiotic like a combination of cefixime and dicloxacillin in standard doses for minimum 05 days.

Meanwhile pair your nails and take bath twice daily with antiseptic soap; wash and iron your clothes including towels and bed linens etc shared by other members.

Dear Dr,

Thanks for your quick reply. I want to write in a detailed way explaining all the situations.

1) This crawling feeling started way back in November 2006 with a rash on my trunk after having pencillin ( doctor gave me because he suspected high WBC in my blood then) and because of this crawling i couldn't concentrate much and had fatigue and brain fog when it began as well as respiratory problems

2) The fatigue continued though the brain fog disappeared and the crawling entered the deep layers of the skin this is what i felt. The feeling is like something is bursting , water getting sprinkled over the skin, and at times pain.

3)Whenever the crawling increased i did a CBC and found elevated WBC around range of 13 to 14 instead of normal of 12.

4) Recently i had a high fever around 39.4 and was having shivering so went and did CBC and had a Urine test. The fever subsided with having panadol drip and the URIne should around pus cells of 73. and 6-8 of RBC. So doctor prescribed Amoxcillin with pottasium clauvante ( 2 gm daily ) one in the morning and other in the night. Even after having for 5 days the dosage i felt the infection didnt subside.

5) Few days after a unbearable pain began in my trunk area near the shoulder . I went to to a different doctor. He did a X-ray and said it is muscle spasm and gave me some controlled medicine to relieve the spasms. But other than for making me drowsy the pain didnt subside so when i went to the doctor again he told me to consult with orthopedics.

6). I went to a different doctor with this severe pain in the shoulder. He did CBC and urine test and it again should infection in URINE although less around 43 WBC and few RBC's. He gave me the antibiotic Levofloxcin along with muscle spasm reliever. I noticed that there was a decrease in the crawling feeling. Even when i touch my bones in the hands they were paining before consuming the antibiotic. But the pain the trunk didnt go away so i decided to consult with ayurvedic doctor.

7) The ayurvedic doctor checked pulse and checked the trunk of body and found some lumps so he told there was a need of massage . Initially upon massage it was too much of pain. They squeezed the lump with oil and good massage and slowly it grew smaller and it vanished. Infact all beneath the skin i used to feel like small lump kind of things which got reduced when i consumed levofloxcin by previous doctor. The ayurvedic doctory gave me some medicine for the nervous system and as well as for this symptom. Also i get floaters in my eye resembling a worm with bend tail kind of thing something like the Ebola virus frequently when the crawling increases.

8) I bough some Fucidin antibiotic cream and applied to the groin since it was also crawling there at times and noticed some good change in the skin from black it turned light black and inside the skin it felt like the crawling sensations increased and decreased. Later upon researching the net i felt something like Staph and MRSA has affected me since the bones , eyes and crawling indicate something similar.

I feel if i get some IV antibiotics it might help me since my matter is old as it is already 8 years passed away. I am wondering if i should consume FUCIDIN antibiotic tablets. or should i consume the antibiotics which you have specified. Could you also guide me with the dosage am around 80 Kgs and 36 years old.

My children also i notice itch their skin frequently and in my case when i eat sugar my itching increases considerably so i have stopped eating sugar products.

Thank you doctor.

Brief Answer:
Recurrent UTI & skin infection

Detailed Answer:
You have recurrent urinary tract infections(UTI) and also skin infection. You need to check your blood sugar fasting and post-prandial to rule out diabetes mellitus which can make a person prone to repeated UTIs and skin infections. To choose an appropriate antibiotic it is better to subject a mid-stream morning urine sample and discharge material (if any) from skin lesion at groin/other areas for culture and sensitivity test.
