Brief Answer:
Might be Viral infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

I have gone through your description and feel that the reccurent throat infection might be due to viral infection.

I suggest you to follow these measures:
1. XXXXXXX warm salt water gargling three to four times a day.
2. Oral Lozenges like Strepsils or XXXXXXX as and when you require.
3. Consume only boiled water.
4. Avoid cold and refrigerated food items and drinks.
5. Cough syrup like grilinctus in case of dry cough or Ambrolite expectorant in case of productive cough can be taken on doctor's advise.

If viral infection should relieve by 5 to 7 days. If still persists you need an ENT specialist for examination and change of antibiotics, if required.

Hope this answers your query. If any further clarifications, will be happy to help you.

Regards.
