Brief Answer:
seems to be laryngitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having raspy voice with swelling at corners of mouth. I would like to ask you few more details.

- Is there any chronic cough or belching or voice abuse ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

Answers and solutions for your queries.

1. As per your picture, it appears to me normal mucosal fold (corners of mouth). In case of pain or burning sensation, you need to see an ent surgeon for confirmation of infection or nutritional deficiencies.

2. Raspy voice could be due to laryngitis (voice box inflammation), secondary to smoking, voice abuse (shouting or singing) or acid peptic disease or severe cough.

3. I suggest you to do steam inhalation twice daily, maintain absolute voice rest for a week, Start prophylactic antiallergic (over the counter tab.zyrtec) one tab at bed time, avoid consuming freezer products (curd/ice creams/cola) and start multivitamins daily one tab to counter burning sensation in mouth.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Answering your question about chronic cough or belching or voice abuse no...Throat just feels raspy and dry i also forgot to mention i have been having dry lips everyday for the past months...Regarding the inside of my cheeks I have gone to two dentist one ent and general practitioner and they all said the same thing that it looks normal but to me it doesnt because before i did not see those bump things in the corners of my mouth Or maybe i did have them but I just didnt put that much attention in my mouth....one thing is for sure though I do not feel comfortable with the swelling and stinging burning sensations which is why i keep trying to get help also when i put my finger on the inside of my cheek its pulsating all the time but maybe that is just normal for your inner cheeks to be pulsating Im just pointing it out..I have gone to an ENT doctor already as i just said and some things he said is that i could be allergic to acidic fruits but no because i stopped eating acidic fruits i only eat watermelon now he also said it could be burning mouth syndrome and sent me to do some lab test but when I went it came up to be more than 1000 dollars so I didnt do them(ill send a picture of the test he wanted me to do) He also said my immune system could be producing antibodies that attack certain tissues or cells and just like you did also pescribed me zyrtec but when I read the label on zyrtec it didnt seem to be for any of my symptoms i still bought it and took it a few days but didnt feel nothing good or bad...Oh and the dentist i went to one said I possibly bite my mouth and that my bite was wrong the other dentist just told me she didnt know and could not help me and just recommended to get a physical i had never had a physical so i went to get one with a general practitioner I came out good and I told him about my problems and he sent me to do some bloodtest ( ill send picture also) since this was cheap i did them and i came out good... so yeah since Ive been doing research and i have come up with different idea like maybe salivary duct stones I read they block saliva flow which can make your cheeks inflamed and be uncomfortable..also it can some kind of buccal mucosa problem (infection?,inflammation?thickening?as that is what the inside lining of the cheeks and lips are and thats were my problems are at ...I Dont know sorry for the long response but I want to explain as much as I can... Just one last thing I would appreciate your opinion on getting a laryngoscopy to check my throat or a biopsy of my cheek to check it Ive been researching and this seem like good options...Again sorry for the long comments

Brief Answer:
laryngoscopy.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Answers.

1. Relax. Cancer of cheek is uncommon in your age. It is a normal mucosal fold. 4 doctors (2 dentists,1 ent and 1 physician) confirmed.

2. Dry lips could be due to dry climate or repeated plucking of crusts or dehydration. Take plenty of water and fluids, apply XXXXXXX water and stop plucking the crusts.

3. Raspy voice, with out external factors (voice abuse) needs to be evaluated with laryngoscopy.

4. Salivary gland infections or stones will cause symptoms like severe pain and swelling below the jaw and fever.

5. Persistent burning sensation needs to be investigated for nutritional deficiencies (vitamin, iron).

All the best. Take care.
