What Causes Rashes On Cheek And Neck Of New Born?

Question: Hi dr,

Recently some rashes like develop on the cheek and back of neck of my 4weeks new born.

The rashes (or red spots patches) come and go and is even more obvious when baby cry and red flushed.
The back of the neck n cheek is especially obvious .

May I know way are the common causes?
Can I put baby powder after bath?
What can be done to improve ?

It would be better to comment if you upload the images of rash.

My possibility:
From your description it may be the rash erythema toxicum.
This is normal condition in most of the newborn and goes away within a week.
Other common causes are pustular melanosis, paethechie, heat rash which is likely in your case.
There is no need to apply the powder.
