Brief Answer:
May be an inguinal hernia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic.
This could be an inguinal hernia that has become trapped and caused partial obstruction. This would cause pain of the magnitude you describe and nausea.
I suggest you go to the ER where you can be examined. In the meantime take painkillers and lie down when possible. This may relieve the protrusion and help the pain.
I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
