Brief Answer:
It may be taken as normal finding.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

I have gone through your case and the chest x-ray film attached.
There does not appear to be any focal lesion on x-ray.
Prominent bronchial markings are due to mild inflammation of small airways. Clinically it may be termed bronchitis.

Are you smoker or non-smoker?
Smokers may have prominent bronchial markings as compared to non-smoker.
Without symptoms prominent bronchial markings has no clinical value i.e.,
in absence of cough, fever or chest pain such findings are usually taken as normal.

In view of the above explanation, there should not be any problem for your flying profession and hence there is no reason for being rejected.

However, since you are going to join as a crew member, to be on safer side you are advised to consult a pulmonologist and get certain blood tests and if necessary lung capacity evaluation to know if your breathing volumes are normal.

Hope your doubts are being clarified.
Do write back if you have any doubts remaining.

Wishing you best of luck for all your future endeavors.

Thank you Dr XXXXXXX for your time and consultation. As u asked i am a born non smoker. I have no addictions, no known allergies and no medical history of breathing problems. I have no family history of asthama or any such breathing disorder.I have been working as a cabin crew from last 1 year. I never faced any such difficulty. However common cold and cough was encountered due to climate change which got cure within 3 to 4 days and its been almost 5 to 6 months. I am just worried wheather this condition is considered to b a potential suspect for any breathing disorder? as this job offer means a lot to me.

Brief Answer:
Chest x ray findings are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I really appreciate your concern for the x ray findings which are normal considering the fact that you have been a born non smoker and not having any breathing problems as such.
In absence of symptoms these findings are clinically not significant and there is no potential risk of any breathing disorder.
Such findings should not come in the way of your promotion.
However, I do not know about the policy concerning with your due promotion kindly consult the air liner approved doctor for your case may be they expect you to undergo the lung function tests or blood gases analysis which is the least that they can think of.

Wishing you once again a very best of luck.
