default
Posted on Thu, 25 Jun 2015
Question: Hi
My menstrual period has gone over 14 days - not on a constant flow , but just not really ending after 8 days.

There is no pain, but my normal periods usually last 5 -8 days.

Brief Answer:
Due to hormonal irregularity.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The mild persistent bleeding that you are having can be related to hormonal irregularities commonly associated with peri menopause. This usually stops on its own without a treatment. In case the mild bleeding persists then you can start with hormonal tablets or oral pills after consulting your gynecologist.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
