What Causes Poor Weight Gain In An Infant?
Question: my son, who is 1 year and 9 month old, is very weak. He was about 9kg weight when he was 1 year old. Now also he is of 10 kg weight. His growth was ok till 6 months. After that he had lot of health problems like having green stools for a month and half up to 7and 1/2 age. then he had chest infection in 8 and 9 th month. there after he was ok for 3 months. then again he is having food intake problem. occassional vomiting with stomach being inflated by night espeacially when fed with boiled egg or meat. No weight gain for the last 7months.visited local doctor, he says he is normal as he is attentive, playing. feeding him is verry difficult task because it takes an hour or so. recently he had problem with high fever which is diagnosed as bladder infection after having USG scan and blood and urine test. CRP was 10.54.very concerned about his growth .kindly advise if any more test are to be done for his digestive system.
