Brief Answer:
Need work up and correlation

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Before considering night sweat a disease, one should rule out room temperature, covering, bed sheets or overheated room environment can cause nigh sweats easily and be mistaken for a disease. You recently had cold and flu and that ear nose and throat infection too can pretty much cause night sweats. Decongestants like mucinex, fever relieving medications like acetaminophen, use of antidepressants etc all can cause night sweat too, so the medicinal causes may be there in your case as well. Some times small meals at night may cause low blood glucose and result in night sweats. THyroid hormone issues need to be evaluated too to rule out as cause of night sweats.

Nutshell, your night sweats needs clinical correlation if persistent. Till then topical application of KMNO4, boric acid, tannic acid, formaldehydes, resorcinols etc are some of the options to help the night sweats. Talk to your doctor and let them sort it out for you.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan

Thank you. I have been applying an AlphaHydroxyAcid creme on neck and back and ended up with a horrible rash. I discontinued applications two days ago. I thought that I may allergic to a high dose of AHA.
My room temperature is not over heated. I just took a dose of musinex due to cough. I'm still having difficulty breathing a and do cough up a clear sputum.

Brief Answer:
Needs supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

It is possible that the AHA cream may cause allergic skin rash and discontinuing was good idea. Rest all your symptoms needs supportive treatment and there is nothing to worry about. Continue taking the medication and lets hope for the best. Get evaluated for pulmonary and heart functions for difficulty breathing too.

I hope it helps.
