default
Posted on Fri, 31 Oct 2014
Question: I have been having constant headache almost throughout day time for the past 10 days. With rest and conscious calming of my mind, I did not have any headache today. Also, I have observed my hair fall since the past 1 month ( I never had hair fall problem previously). Please let me know if I need to run through any tests or if it could be a medical condition. Thanks,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Hb% and Thyro profile needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

I have carefully read your query and understand your concern.

First and foremost the headache you mentioned seem to psychological ,stress related -tension type headache.

This should be resolved with proper stress management and relaxation techniques and in few cases with drugs called anxiolytics.

The hair loss in your case has to be given special importance since losing hair can have impact on our cosmetic appeal and overall well being.

Hair loss in most cases can be due to three basic body disturbances especially in females...These are,
1.stress related
2.low blood hemoglobin-iron deficiency anemia
3.under functioning of thyroid gland-hypothyroidism.
4.inadequate nutrition.

Correction of these metabolic disturbances can lead to excellent results with restoration of hair growth,

All you need to do is to get 2 basic tests
1.blood Hb%
2.complete thyroid profile-T3 T4 TSH .

i request you to get these tests and post the results on your follow up query,
based on which i would like to validate my final response on it.

Post your further queries if any,
Thank you
