What Causes Parasite Crawling On Top Of The Head?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Jul 2014
Question: I have one right now. If I go to an Infection Control doctor with a complaint that I feel a parasite might be in the top of my head will he look at me crazy? I need to have a Pet Scan and have yet to been given one. I was recently discharged from the hospital because of this but the hospital has now labeled me psychotic for parasites. I am in the process of having my medical information corrected and I am not crazy. I do have this problem of feeling worms are on the top of my head along with soars that have been healing some only due to my care. I was given a antibiotic for five days but the discharge summary is just saying acute rectal bleeding. I know I have this problem but wasn't even offered a Pet Scan which I now know that might have shown the activity or something. All CT scans were negative and blood test were negative. Is a Pet Scan my only hope? Thank you

Brief Answer:
you are right, pimozide/olanzapine can help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your query carefully and agree that you are not crazy in feeling a parasite crawling on top of your head. The only point which is important next is if you want to get rid of this parasite or make others believe that it is there? I think you obviously wamt the treatment to kill this parasite once and for all.

Another important point is that if CT head is normal then anything organic being missed is impossible. PET scan is advised and useful only when there is a finding on CAT scan or MRI, not otherwise. You may go ahead with the test to satisfy yourself but it will come out negative and increase your plight and dellima.

The best solution for such parasites managment is drug pimozide or olanzapine (2.5-5mg) taken or two to four months.

I can understand your dellima as you can feel the parastie crawling and lesion caused by it but noone is paying attention. The point here is not if you are right or wrong Or if the doctors are right or wrong but how to treat and kill the parasite.
So, dont bother to make others believe if there is a parasite or not but ask them to treat you of this completely.

Please remember- Truth can be different for different people and both can be right in thinking.

Hope you find the reply useful.
Please feel free to ask more questions for clarification.
