Question: Hi, I'm 24 years old and have very strange periods. They have always been very painful but recently I've been having a lot of back pain, with bloating, head aches and I've been very tired. I'm very scared to go to the doctor, I have been having brown discharge for over 2 weeks, and at night it burns and itches. Sometimes I feel like it's acid. Also when I pee I've had brown speckles.

Brief Answer: vaginal suppositories for infection, do urine exam Detailed Answer: Dear member, Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. You mentioned severe pain during period. How was the flow? Have you missed your period? When was the last menstrual period? Heavy flow can make you anemic and you may have symptoms of headache, dizzines. The vaginal itching and discharge may be vaginal infection which can also cause backache. There is no need to fear to visit a doctor as this is common among young women. After a pelvic examination you may need vaginal suppositories of clindamycin, clotrimazole and tinidazole for infection. A urine examination will check for any infection. If present oral ciprofloxacin antibiotics for a week will suffice. Take Tablets meftal spas for pain thrice a Day. Please write back if yout have any queries. Thanks Dr Bhagyashree

Brief Answer: try tab paracetamol. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing back. You mentioned fever and headaches. Local vagina infection usually does not cause fever but urine infection may cause fever and headaches may be related to the fever. It is good that you have scheduled an appointment. Your urine examination will reveal whether there is any significant infection. Meanwhile Try tablet paracetamol for fever. Take plenty of oral liquids . Write back with reports. Take care.
