Brief answer....given below
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I wil answer your query one by one.
1... Very frankly speaking
insulin injection can not cause pain in the entire leg. There has to be some other reason for this.It is possible that you might have injected repeatedly at the same spot which might have resulted in local pain giving you a feeling of pain in entire leg.Just wait and watch as it should settle soon.
2...Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammation of bowel and is generally managed by diet management, drugs and very rarely surgery.
Very frankly speaking it can not be cured completely, but with proper treatment,it can be managed effectively and person can live a normal lifespan as it rarely causes death.
As far as its symptoms are concerned, these vary from individual to individual. On one hand a person may have just one episode in his entire life and on ther hand,a person can suffer continuously.
As far as complications are concerned, there can be various complications like intestinal blockages, fistulas,
malabsorption,
anemia,
osteoporosis,toxic mega colon.
Regarding cancer, the chances of colorectal cancers are increased in crohn's patient and this risk is highest in people who have the disease for at least 8 years or where extensive area of colon is involved.
Current guide lines suggest a
colonoscopy within 8 years of diagnosis and subsequently every 1-2 years as a follow up.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
