What Causes Pain Under The Right Rib Cage?

Question: I have pain that feels like it's in my right side ribs but it could be my back. It hurts to breath deeply.

The pain is also in my right side hip and when I sneeze it hurts there as well.

What could be causes of this pain and treatment.

There could be many causes of pain on right side of chesr depending on the structure involved. It could be arising from muscles, bones, cartilage, other soft tissue, lungs and it's covering, nerves etc.

You have not mentioned about any other symptom other than pain. In that case it could be a musculoskeletal pain. You may take a pain killer as of now and take rest. But if the pain persists beyond a few days, say a week or so, I suggest you PCP. He can examine You, ask for relevant tests and advise you accordingly.

The pain in right hip may or may not be related to the chest pain. Your PCP may be able to look into it.
