Brief Answer:
Can be due to prepatellar bursitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to prepatellar bursitis.
Do you have any swelling in the area?
Is it just below patella and centre?
Or on sides on lateral or medial sides?
Any cracking sensation while walking?

You can apply ice packs. This can be applied 10 to 15 minutes at a time. It can be repeated 4 times a day. You can also elevate the affected leg. Rest should be taken and avoid physical activities for some days.

If there is no improvement then a consultation with an orthopedician and a X ray if needed should be taken. In case swelling is persisting then aspiration and corticosteroid injections will be effective.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
