Noticed A Small Lump On The Kneecap

I have had knee bursitis for 2months and it will not go away. I have tried icing and rest, but I am unable to take NSAIDs. Today I did some yoga (no kneeling) and now have small lump on kneecap in addition to the bursa area below that that has been swollen for 2 mos. advice?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
I would advise such a patient to have a consultation and examination by a Orthopedic Surgeon. Self medication can be dangerous and there is more chance of getting into further complications; you already have one developing. Since knee is a weight bearing joint, you have to be very careful.
