Posted on Tue, 5 Sep 2017
Question: I am suffering with pain in the left leg from the hip to the lower leg. I did an Bilateral Arterial Ultrasound Lower Extremities test (there was no sign of blockage). The pain is constant, especially while walking. I do get some temporary relief taking Alleve and Osteo Bi-Flex tablets.

Brief Answer:
Rule out hip and spine problems

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health

Pain radiating from hip down could be due to Hip or spine problems.
Hip problems including osteoarthritis, osteonecrosis of femur head, osteoporosis can cause such pain. Osteoarthritis affecting spine, invertebral disc prolapse can cause nerve compression and spinal stenosis resulting in similar symptoms.
Physicak and neurological examination, Xray of hip and spine, MRI spine are warranted at this point.
Please be advised to follow up with an orthopedician for necessary evaluation.
Meanwhile, take advil for pain and take adequate rest.
