What Causes Pain In Leg From Below The Knee Joint?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Jul 2014
Question: In March 2011-after IV antibiotics in hospital and then a PIC line (3 mths of treatment), the cervical vertebrae from C4-C6 were replaced by donor vertabrae and a synthetic matter. The spine surgeons also removed disks from C4-T1. The surgeries took place over two days (20 hours). The cuase of the destruction was an infection that occured from my Dentist not following manufactuers instructions with reference to sterility using a Cavitron. I mention this because in XXXXXXX 2011 I realized that I would never be the same physically and eventually perm. disabled. Despite the pain and lack of range I have in my neck, I still try to act normal; like playing badmitton on Easter Sunday. Two days later, I started experiencing losts of pain in my hip and upper thigh (RT). That progressed it seems to the left side only of my rt leg from below the knee to the ankle. There is some numbness and always so much pain even a light sheet or my dogs fluffy tail brushing my leg can make me scream. I was also diagnosed in 6/2011 with Diabeties (TY2). Wondering if it is related to the badmitten game, or more latent nerve damage from surgeries and further narrowing of the spinal cord-which is occurring. (I cannot afford more expensive tests and had to cancel my COBRA due to costs. Obama care plans will chage me more than $1K for many of the tests I may require to determine exact cause (if possible) and any treatment.)
