Brief Answer:
Boil / lymph node / hernia / pulled tendon

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male / 59 pain in groin on walking - numbness when stationary - sign of redness - thought initially due to underwater - legs are not restricted.

It would help me if you can provide some information:
- For how many days or weeks is the problem present?
- Any lump?
- Any history of hernia?
- Any wound on the lower limb on the same side?
- Any information you would like to give...
- You can attach a picture (photograph) if possible as YYYY@YYYY

The probable reasons are:
It may be a sort of a boil.
Enlarged inflamed lymph node.
Skin lesion
Pulled tendon

Please provide the information for me to know better.
Please feel free to further relevant queries or if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.
