Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

If you would have presented to me as an outpatient with this complaint,I would have told you that there can be several reasons for these symptoms, most common being-
1)Improper sleep posture and surface
2)Vitamin D/Calcium deficiency
3)Thyroid dysfunction

I would like you to get advice by a Physiotherapist for proper sleep posture and surface.He/She will also teach you some exercises for back which,if done regularly will bring significant amount of relief in symptoms.

Further, please get Serum vitamin D and calcium levels done.Vitamin D/Calcium supplementation can be started empirically.

Besides,I would like to know that for how much time does the pain lasts after you wake up?Does it improve with activity?

If you have some follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,

The pain goes away throughout the day, mainly when I wake up the severe pain is present. I would like to note that I am 5'3 190 pounds with a slight hunch cause of my posture and very flat footed, I also have scholiosis not severe but its present. I sleep with a cpap so I am not sure if that can be a factor for my comfort level.

Hi XXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

You are obese with skeletal deformities(scoliosis) and on CPAP(may be causing some restrictions in posture, though its obviously therapeutic). So,here are multiple factors which can cause improper sleep posture.

Please take guidance and posture training from an expert physiotherapist in this field and I'm sure you will show improvement.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some follow up questions,I shall be glad to answer else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.
