What Causes Pain Colon Region Aggrevated During Ejaculation?

Question: My husband has pain in his tantum area and colon region that comes and go- when pain is their it is a 8/9 on a scale to 10- the pain generally comes on after her has a bm or ejactulates- any ideas? He is a marine and will get an appointment on base soon but the wait is 2/3 weeks

Brief Answer: Can be a ureteric stone Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing to XXXXXXX this is Dr. Ashish Verma, a general surgeon, answering to your query. The pain as described by your husband looks very much like the one you get in ureteric stone. Its gets aggrevated during bowel movements and ejaculation as at that time the smooth muscles are in contraction to expel their contents, this stimulating the ureteric smooth muscles to contract too. Ask him to take any NSAIDs available to him, preferably diaclofenac as it also helps to relax the ureteric smooth muscles. Also, ask him to drink plenty of fluids. When he reaches at the base, i would suggest him to get an ultrasound scan of this abdomen to detect the position and size of the stone, as further management will depend upon that only. Hello, my husband went to the er- They checked his prostate, urine, blood and did a ct- nothing showed up. They are referring him to a rectal specialist- any other possibilities?
