What Causes Pain And Cluster Of Small Red Bumps On Whole Body?
Question: Hi. After I scratch the area on my body small red bumps form sort of in clusters.nearby skin turns red.they go away after a while. Even when i pull the hair gently on my head i feel pain on scalp.

The red bumps and redness of the surrounding area is urticaria. Urticaria refers to the formation of hives or weals or welts on the skin.
Usually itching but this does not always occur.
There are different types of urticaria. They are some persons who get this response in their skin with exposure to cold (cold urticaria), with exercise/stress/heat (cholinergic urticaria), water (aquagenic urticaria), sun (solar urticaria)
There is also (1)pressure urticaria where the welts/weals/hives form due to pressure on the skin or (2) dermatographisim - firm pressure on the skin causes the lesions
You may have one of these- pressure urticaria or dermatographism, based on the images attached.
Antihistamines are the main treatment particularly the non drowsy eg claritine, allegra, zyrtec
Other treatment is provided if needed
