My doctor abruptly stopped a anxiety medication he prescribed, which sent me into Overactive Sympathetic Nervous System. My symptoms are, jittery, fear, inability to calm down, panic attacks, brain overstimulation, heart palps, high heart rate, loss of appettite, fatigue, body in constant adrenaline mode. These symptoms started two days after being abruptly stopped off the medication. Is there anything that can cure this condition? I know my neurotransmitters and lack of gaba from the abrupt stopping of the medication have contributed to the damage.

Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up with further details.

Symptoms in such cases(after abrupt stoppage of a drug) improve gradually. You can hope to improve gradually in a few days.

What was the medicine which was abruptly stopped? Knowing it may help me to guide you better.

Klonopin .12mg, NOT 12 mg, .12mg. Dosing .06mg am and .06mg pm.

My symptoms also include depersonalization, tingling sensations in arms and legs, head pressure, fear, nightmares and constant adrenaline from Overactive Sympathetic Nervous System. Does the nervous system return to homeostasis? Does the brain become less overstimulated?

Is there anything I can do or take to calm these excitory conditions?

Brief Answer:
Symptoms should improve soon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

As 0.12 mg of Klonapin per day is a little dose,I am hopeful that these symptoms will not last long. You can expect them to improve in a few days.Of course, brain will return to its homeostasis.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
