Question: What could cause numbness of left side of face , eye feeling strange, strange headache and chronic back pain. The numbness appears to come and go ? Could it be from being over tired as I have only slept for 2hrs in 32hrs due to busy life and work ?

Brief Answer:
Lack of appropriate rest and sleep;trigeminal neuralgia;lack of vitamins...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

1. The numbness on left side of your face with eye feeling strange that appear to come and go are indicating for possible nerve suffering. It might be due to work overload and not resting enough. Another explanation could be lack of nutrients perhaps due to a poor diet while being busy with work.

2. It could be also sign of trigeminal neuralgia. A further neurological examination will rule it out.

3. Headache is also due to busy life and work, and lack of resting and sleep.

4. Chronic back age might be due to positioning during your work (perhaps your work requires sitting for long time during the day).

5. I understand it is hard for you to rest, but, try to find time to rest more, eat healthy and breathe fresh air by walking outdoor.

If I was your caring doctor would advise to take multivitamins containing zinc, magnesium and vit.B complex for well functioning of your nerves hoping to reduce numbness.

I also advise to check your blood pressure and record the results for future reference as sometimes the oscillations in bp could cause the same problems as you are having now.

Hope it was of help!

Brief Answer:
Following signs of trigeminal neuralgia...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

The most important sign of trigeminal neuralgia is the pain on your face and headache. It can be on and off and can last for days, weeks or even months.

As the pain you are having is also associated with numbness, facial paralysis should be also considered.

That's why a deep neurological examination is advised for further evaluation.

Furthermore, migraine attacks should be also considered as they can also mimic the symptoms you are currently having.

If paracetamol or baclofen won't subside the pain, then, should go for neurological examination as you might need to take other prescription medicines.

Wish fast recovery!
