default
Posted on Wed, 29 Jul 2015
Question: After a very busy week, I noticed my big toes were numb. They have continued to stay numb all this week. I have checked my blood sugar and after a busy weekend with lots of company the highest reading was 112. I do not have diabetes, just like to monitor it from time to time, can wearing thong flip flops damage a nerve. I do not have any other symptoms other than being congested. What could be making this continue?

numbness can be due to nerve involvement.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have read your query.
numbness can be due to nerve involvement.
This can be due to peripheral neuropathy or spinal nerve compression.
You may need clinical examination and further investigation like MRI spine and EMG NCV study.
