Brief Answer:
Dry climate- nasal bleeding is common

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that your friend is having bleeding per nose.

As per your clinical details, it appears to be epistaxis (bleeding per nose) secondary to dry weather.

Bleeding per nose is more common in dry climates or during winter months. Heated, dry air can dehydrate the delicate tissue inside the nose resulting in crusts. On manual removal of dried crusts or on sneezes (forceful sneezing pressure causes removal of dried crusts) causes bleeding. That's normal BP value for his age.

To prevent drying of crusts, you can try over the counter nasal saline drops or nasal decongestant drops (xylometazoline 3 drops/3 times), you can get it primary doctor prescription. In case of persistent nasal bleeding, needs to see an ent surgeon for the exact cause.
